Recruiter - Bilingual (English/Spanish)Job Description This is a hybrid position with 2 - 4 days onsite (4 days onsite during the busy summer months), the onsite days are split between the home office for this position (Corona, CA) and our El Cajon, CA office. Job Summary The HR Field Recruiter possesses field, labor/industrial and construction industry experience to support our HR team at Corporate Office and the entire Field Job Locations for Northern and Southern California.
Support will require the ability to source, qualify, and liaise with VP of Field Operations & Area Manager's to ensure manpower requests are met and maintained.
Key Responsibilities Include:
(But not limited to the following) Strong organizational and follow-up skills to completion. Full cycle bilingual recruitment of field talent from San Jose to San Diego, CA. Source talent/place ads. Interview and qualify (test) applicants, request background checks, schedule new hires/conduct orientation. Partner with Payroll team for processing new hires and employee packages. Post jobs for a variety of open positions, plus tracking and updating through the offer/hire stage. Assist and update payroll with field employees (2 systems), process applicants/new hire documents, run daily payroll/time corrections report, update vacation/sick time. Liaison with VP of Field Operations & Area Manger's. Engage with new hires re; job number, start date, and location. Complete new hire field list daily and email distribution. Assist/update field spreadsheet tracker/calendar and manpower transfers. Participate in networking at career fairs and maintaining our positive company brand in the community. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) preferred. Experience 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in construction, facilities management, or skilled trades. Proven success recruiting for Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical positions. Experience working in the multi-family housing industry a plus. Experience with high-volume recruiting and managing multiple concurrent requisitions across geographically dispersed locations. Hands-on experience with E-Verify, I-9 compliance, background checks, and pre-employment screening. Experience partnering with field operations leaders (Superintendents, Area Managers, VPs) to forecast manpower needs and fill open roles. Experience building and maintaining recruiting reports, manpower trackers, and hiring dashboards in Excel; comfortable presenting hiring metrics (time-to-fill, source effectiveness, weekly manpower status) to leadership. Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly. Knowledge of labor markets, trade certifications, and skilled trade recruitment strategies. Proficiency in ATS platforms, HRIS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize a high volume of open requisitions and competing deadlines. Working knowledge of California employment law, EEO requirements, and Fair Chance Act compliance. Ability to travel between the corporate office and job sites across Northern and Southern California as needed. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and basic formulas, for producing recruiting reports and maintaining manpower trackers.
