Technical Recruiter - Department of Defense (Full Lifecycle Recruiting) Mid-Senior Level | U.S. Citizenship Required | $50,000 - $60,000 | Remote / Hybrid / Onsite Based on Program Needs Support mission-critical national defense programs—leading full-cycle recruiting efforts for highly cleared technical professionals across engineering, cybersecurity, software development, intelligence, space, aviation, and defense operations programs. A Day in the Life - What you'll do Lead full-cycle recruiting activities from requisition intake through candidate onboarding. Partner with hiring managers, program leaders, and executives to develop recruiting strategies aligned with program objectives. Source, identify, engage, and recruit highly qualified cleared professionals supporting Department of Defense and Intelligence Community programs. Manage high-volume recruiting pipelines while maintaining exceptional candidate experience and communication. Conduct candidate qualification screenings, technical interviews, and compensation discussions. Develop creative sourcing strategies utilizing job boards, professional networks, referrals, social media, and direct recruiting techniques. Build and maintain talent pipelines for difficult-to-fill technical and cleared positions. Coordinate interviews, hiring activities, offer negotiations, and onboarding processes. Track recruiting metrics, pipeline health, and hiring performance to support workforce planning initiatives. Maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS), candidate databases, and recruiting documentation. Attend career fairs, hiring events, military transition programs, and industry networking events. Support proposal staffing efforts, surge hiring requirements, and strategic workforce planning initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal employment regulations, OFCCP requirements, and company hiring policies. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with candidates, customers, and hiring managers. Required Qualifications 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience supporting Department of Defense, Federal Government, or Intelligence Community programs Demonstrated experience recruiting cleared professionals holding Secret, Top Secret, and TS/SCI security clearances Experience sourcing and recruiting technical talent including engineering, cybersecurity, software development, systems administration, networking, intelligence, or related disciplines Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), candidate relationship management tools, and recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and relationship-building skills Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting defense contractors, government integrators, or military organizations Knowledge of security clearance processes, adjudication timelines, and clearance transfer procedures Experience recruiting for highly specialized technical disciplines including Digital Engineering, Modeling & Simulation, Space Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Software Engineering Experience supporting proposal recruiting, capture efforts, and rapid-response staffing initiatives Familiarity with labor market analysis, compensation benchmarking, and workforce planning strategies Active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance Who is Caribou Thunder?
