Position Summary:
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Talent Acquisition Specialist to support hiring efforts across our fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) organization. This role will partner closely with the Head of Human Resources and operational leaders to attract, engage, and hire top talent across sales, operations, corporate, and leadership functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-energy environment, understands the urgency and competitiveness of the logistics market, and is passionate about building strong candidate relationships while delivering a positive hiring experience. This individual should be proactive, organized, adaptable, and comfortable balancing high-volume recruiting with strategic talent initiatives.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, team dynamics, and desired candidate profiles Develop recruiting strategies tailored to the competitive Chattanooga and SouthEast logistics talent market Source candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, career fairs, and industry outreach Conduct phone screens and initial interviews to evaluate experience, communication skills, and cultural alignment Coordinate interviews and maintain communication throughout the hiring process to ensure a strong candidate experience Build and maintain pipelines of qualified talent for current and future hiring needs Assist with employer branding initiatives, recruiting events, university partnerships, and social recruiting efforts Track recruiting activity and maintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system (ATS) Support onboarding coordination and new hire transition efforts as needed Stay informed on hiring trends, compensation benchmarks, and recruiting best practices within the transportation and logistics industryCompetencies:
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities High sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information Ability to work collaboratively across departments and leadership levels Self-starter mentality with strong initiative and follow-through Adaptability within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Coachability and willingness to learnEducation/Experience:
Minimum of 1-3+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or customer-facing professional experience highly preferred Experience recruiting within logistics, transportation, supply chain, sales, or other fast-paced industries is preferred Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field preferred Experience utilizing ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other sourcing tools preferred Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are a plusBenefits:
