This role is pivotal in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent across various departments to support our growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of recruiting processes, employment law, and talent management strategies. They will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of recruitment, from sourcing candidates to onboarding new hires, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers. Key responsibilities include developing innovative sourcing strategies, conducting interviews, negotiating offers, and utilizing advanced applicant tracking systems such as Lever, Workday, or iCIMS. The Talent Acquisition professional will also collaborate with leadership on succession planning, employee orientation, and maintaining strong relationships with external recruitment agencies and internal stakeholders. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to research and lead generation, and a thorough knowledge of HRIS platforms like SAP PeopleSoft or UltiPro. •Must have DL and your own vehicle. Travel to two locations, one in Norfolk, one in Portmouth is required. Clean DMV and background needed. •Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract diverse talent pools across various levels and functions. Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding. Utilize applicant tracking systems such as Lever, iCIMS, Workday, or Taleo to streamline recruitment workflows. Conduct targeted research and cold calling to identify potential candidates through social media management tools and professional networks. Build strong relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and provide consultative support on talent management. Lead campus recruitment initiatives by establishing partnerships with universities and participating in career fairs. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws while managing contracts, employee orientation programs, and employee evaluation processes. Maintain accurate records within HRIS platforms like ADP or Kronos; generate reports for leadership on recruitment metrics. Collaborate on training & development programs to enhance hiring practices and succession planning efforts. Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to optimize sourcing channels. Stay current with industry trends in HR sourcing, social media recruiting strategies, and best practices in human resources. Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in talent acquisition or human resources recruiting roles. Proven expertise in technical recruiting across various industries; familiarity with sales roles is advantageous. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage offers effectively while maintaining candidate engagement. Experience working with ATS platforms such as Lever, Taleo, iCIMS, or Workday; proficiency in HRIS systems like PeopleSoft or UltiPro. Knowledge of employment & labor law regulations relevant to recruiting practices. Demonstrated success in campus recruitment initiatives and executive recruiting projects. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to build rapport quickly. Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce for relationship management; experience in social media management for talent sourcing is preferred. Ability to conduct research effectively for lead generation purposes within competitive markets.
