Job Description

Job Description The Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist handles the recruitment, onboarding functions to achieve the staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating candidates while utilizing all available recruitment sources including social media platforms, and talent acquisition software including the Agency's talent acquisition platform, job boards, college alumni sites, in-person/onsite college recruitment, career fairs, as well as employment and placement agencies, professional organizations, magazines/periodicals. The position is also responsible for all administrative portions of the onboarding process. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist engages in open, honest, and transparent communication with hiring managers, hiring teams, team members, job candidates, and Agency leadership.   • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related degree required plus two to three years of experience in the administration of employment processes is preferred. Level II

  • Master's degree in degree in human resources, business, or human services or similar with a minimum of four years professional/administrative experience preferred.
Willing and available to travel outside of regular office hours required to attend career fairs, college recruitment activities, professional recruitment events, etc., during Fall and Spring college recruitment seasons. May require overnight stays should on-campus interviews occur the next day. Recruitment and/or presentation to classes regarding Agency services, internships, and hiring might involve after 5 p.m. schedules. Travel to different Agency worksites during the day based on operational needs is required. Experience with electronic human resources information system(s) and talent acquisition systems is preferred (demonstrated experience with Kronos UKG Workforce Ready and Cadient Talent, or other HRIS and Talent Acquisition System is a plus). Professional Certification in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential is preferred. Experience working with a public Agency is preferred. Valid Driver's License in good standing is required.
