Job Description

Summary The Physician & APP Recruitment Sourcing Specialist partners with hiring leaders, recruiters, and the Director to understand talent needs and develop sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill and priority roles. This position is responsible for identifying and implementing sourcing strategies, managing candidate outreach, and maintaining a repository of sourcing tactics and outcomes. The role focuses on building strong pipelines of passive and active candidates for multiple positions at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Primary Responsibilities Develop and execute sourcing strategies in collaboration with the Physician & APP Recruitment team to maintain a robust candidate pipeline. Utilize sourcing tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Doximity) to identify and engage talent in a highly professional, personalized, and mission-focused manner. Lead and implement sourcing plans, outreach activities, and prospecting processes. Research and evaluate new sourcing tools and technologies. Source and recommend candidates for mission-critical and hard-to-fill positions. Collaborate with recruiters and hiring leaders to optimize job postings based on market trends. Analyze competitive data, market intelligence, and industry benchmarks to inform strategies. Contribute to process improvements and best practice development. Track sourcing performance metrics and prepare reports as needed. Collaborate on projects across the institution. Ensure compliance with OFCCP guidelines and maintain Affirmative Action documentation. Advise recruiters and hiring managers on market trends and talent strategies. The role requires continuous learning and application of industry trends, sourcing tools, and technologies, with a focus on identifying innovative approaches to attract top talent. Competency includes the ability to clearly present sourcing and recruiting strategies to varied audiences, ensuring alignment with institutional goals. Strong judgment, prioritization, and project management skills are essential, along with effective decision-making under changing conditions. The specialist must exhibit a results-oriented mindset, attention to detail, and organizational excellence. Communication proficiency—both written and verbal—is critical for engaging stakeholders at all levels within MCW. Technological fluency is required, including the ability to leverage existing tools and explore new applications to improve efficiency. The role requires high initiative and independence, balanced with strong collaboration skills to contribute effectively as part of a team. Qualifications Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
