This is a critical role responsible for attracting, hiring, and onboarding top talent across multiple departments, including HVAC, Plumbing, Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Leadership positions. Position Overview The Recruiting Manager will oversee the full-cycle recruiting and onboarding process, ensuring a positive candidate experience while supporting the company's aggressive growth goals. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Key ResponsibilitiesTalent Acquisition & Recruiting Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing through onboarding Develop and maintain recruiting strategies to attract top talent Create and manage job postings across multiple platforms, including Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, Paychex Flex, social media, trade schools, military transition programs, and other recruiting channels Source active and passive candidates for HVAC, Plumbing, Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse, and Leadership positions Conduct phone screens and initial candidate evaluations Schedule and coordinate virtual and in-person interviews Partner closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and position requirements Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings Attend job fairs, networking events, and recruiting functions as needed Promote and confidently communicate the benefits of working at Semper Fi Heating & Cooling Onboarding & Compliance Manage all pre-employment and onboarding processes Complete and audit Form I-9 documentation Process E-Verify submissions and maintain compliance Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, and pre-employment requirements Prepare and distribute offer letters and onboarding documents Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a positive onboarding experience Maintain accurate employee records and onboarding documentation Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment requirements Systems & Administration Manage recruiting and onboarding activities through Paychex Flex Track recruiting metrics, hiring trends, candidate flow, and time-to-fill data Maintain applicant tracking systems and candidate databases Generate recruiting reports for leadership Coordinate onboarding schedules, training dates, and orientation sessions Ensure all hiring documentation is completed accurately and timely Leadership & Workforce Planning Collaborate with department leaders to forecast hiring needs Develop proactive recruiting strategies for seasonal and high-volume hiring demands Recommend improvements to recruiting, onboarding, and retention processes Support employee retention initiatives and workforce development programs Assist with employer branding and community outreach efforts Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, HR, or onboarding experience Experience recruiting for skilled trades, home services, construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or similar industries strongly preferred Strong knowledge of recruiting best practices and employment processes Experience with I-9 compliance and E-Verify requirements Experience using Paychex Flex or similar HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to prioritize multiple openings and deadlines simultaneously Professional, confident, and persuasive communication style Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and recruiting platforms Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Key Competencies High sense of urgency Exceptional follow-through and accountability Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Attention to detail Problem-solving ability Professionalism and confidentiality Adaptability in a fast-changing environment Self-motivation and initiative Customer-service mindset Ability to work independently and as part of a team What It Takes to Be Successful Success in this role requires someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, blue-collar environment where hiring needs can change quickly and priorities shift daily.
