Job Description

Assistant Director, Personnel & Recruiting Operations 5/19/2026 Position Summary Under the general supervision of the General Manager of Football Recruiting & Personnel and Sr. Director, Recruiting Operations, the Assistant Director, Personnel & Recruiting Operations serves in a hybrid analytical and operational role supporting the Football program's recruiting and personnel functions. The position is responsible for coordinating day-to-day recruiting operations, assisting with official and unofficial visits, maintaining recruiting systems and databases, developing recruiting strategy initiatives, and providing analytical support related to prospective student-athlete evaluations, roster management, recruiting strategy, and transfer portal activity. The incumbent works collaboratively with coaching staff, recruiting staff, compliance, operations, creative/content personnel, alumni, and community stakeholders to support the strategic and operational objectives of the Football program while ensuring compliance with NCAA, Big Ten, and University policies. Qualifications Experience supporting recruiting operations, player personnel, recruiting analytics, or football operations. (Required) Experience working with recruiting databases, spreadsheets, and reporting systems. (Required) Experience within Division I Football and/or NFL personnel operations. (Preferred) Experience with ARMS, HUDL, XOS, Teamworks, and recruiting database platforms. (Preferred) Experience with transfer portal evaluation and recruiting analytics. (Preferred) Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. (Required) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. (Required) Knowledge of NCAA, Big Ten, and University policies. (Required) Knowledge of NCAA recruiting processes and football personnel operations. (Required) Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. (Required) Understanding of roster management and scholarship planning processes. (Required) Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. (Required) Ability to travel for team activities as needed. (Preferred) Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and training. (Required) Must possess, upon hire, and maintain a valid CA noncommercial Class C License in accordance with the California (CA) Department of Motor Vehicles.
