The process of sourcing, recruiting, and selecting financial representatives is developed, managed, conducted, and refined by this individual. The Executive Director of Recruitment is a key consultant in developing recruiting goals and strategies for the office and is responsible for holding all members of the leadership team accountable for their respective roles in recruiting. The Executive Director of Recruitment has the primary responsibility to build high-level quality relationships in the community and within the offices to promote the career. This individual is responsible for identifying, training, and developing other recruiting personnel, possibly also including emerging leaders in the office. Critical competencies in this position include: Leading others, scoping and vision, priority setting, building effective teams, motivating others, and exceptional communication skills. Although percentages of time may vary depending on the number of recruiters in the office, an Executive Director of Recruitment should devote approximately 30 percent of his/her time managing and developing recruiters and leaders in all aspects of recruiting. Primary Responsibilities Development Hire and oversee performance of recruiting personnel for the agency Provide and facilitate continuous education for those with recruiting responsibilities Onboard, train, and develop new recruiters on sourcing platforms, selection best practices, and company and career knowledge Participate in company and industry training programs to improve the recruiting skills of leaders Work closely with the Managing Partner or Managing Director to identify, train, and develop members of the leadership team involved in recruiting Leadership Ensure the recruiting goals of the agency are met through training and development of all personnel with recruiting responsibilities Consult leadership team on developing specific recruiting strategies necessary to reach agency goals Research and provide market intel to best inform recruiting strategies Provide guidance to leadership team to ensure accountability for recruiting commitments Direct and supervise commitments of the recruiting team (Recruiter, Director of Recruitment, Campus Recruiter and/or Recruiting Coordinator) Own and manage office's annual recruitment budget Render an annual development plan that enhances personal, professional, and agency growth Lead and facilitate weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with the leaders to report progress towards goal and identify selection challenges Sourcing Consult on sourcing tools and candidate selection as subject matter expert Build and develop effective referral sources within the office, with community advocates, and from a variety of other sources that generate qualified leads Actively participate in community clubs and organizations to increase brand awareness and identify new prospects
  • Lead agency communication and initiatives on social media platforms and in community forums Execute recruitment advertising and marketing strategies Establish relationships with peers across the system to share leads and best practices Selection Master information and language regarding all aspects of the company, career, and selection process Oversee the process of screening and interviewing candidates Own full-cycle recruiting process; conducting first interviews, reviewing screening tool results, and running subsequent interviews as needed Direct candidates through the selection process and series of interviews for all agency leaders Maintain integrity and consistency of the selection process; problem-solving where necessary Audit efficiency and effectiveness of agency's selection process; identify and lead improvements Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of progressively responsible work experience in recruiting; experience in the financial services or related industry is desired Strong communication skills required with the ability to build rapport and influence others Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop others Experience with prospecting and generating leads via referral tactics Advanced knowledge of sourcing platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake) Demonstrated ability to network and form quick relationships
