Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development Manager Gross Electric, Inc. - Queensbury, NY Build the Team That Builds the Future Gross Electric is one of the Northeast's premier industrial electrical contractors, delivering complex projects across the pharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare, manufacturing, and data center markets. As we continue expanding throughout New York and the Carolinas, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development Manager to lead our recruiting, workforce growth, and employer branding efforts. This is not a traditional HR position. We need a builder—someone who can recruit top talent, develop workforce pipelines, strengthen our company brand, and help ensure Gross Electric has the people needed to support our aggressive growth strategy. Responsibilities are aligned with common talent acquisition and workforce development practices, including recruiting, workforce planning, apprenticeship development, industry partnerships, and talent pipeline management. What You'll Do Talent Acquisition Lead recruiting efforts for electricians, foremen, superintendents, project managers, engineers, estimators, VDC personnel, and corporate staff. Develop and execute recruiting strategies across New York, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Manage Indeed, LinkedIn, social media, referral programs, and recruiting campaigns. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates before positions become available. Attend career fairs, trade events, apprenticeship events, and industry networking functions. Conduct candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring coordination. Track recruiting metrics including applicant flow, time-to-fill, and hiring success rates. Workforce Development Build relationships with trade schools, apprenticeship programs, colleges, military transition programs, and workforce agencies. Develop internship, apprenticeship, and co-op programs. Create career pathing programs for field and office personnel. Identify workforce shortages and develop plans to address future labor needs. Support employee onboarding and retention initiatives. Assist with leadership development and succession planning efforts. Marketing & Employer Branding Promote Gross Electric as an employer of choice. Manage recruiting-focused social media content and hiring campaigns. Develop employee spotlight stories, project highlights, and workforce success stories. Coordinate recruiting materials, videos, presentations, and company branding efforts. Support community outreach and workforce engagement programs. Represent Gross Electric at industry, educational, and community events. What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in recruiting, workforce development, construction staffing, business development, or a related field. Experience recruiting skilled trades, construction professionals, engineering personnel, or industrial workforce candidates preferred. Strong networking and relationship-building skills. Comfortable speaking to groups and representing the company publicly. Ability to develop recruiting strategies and execute independently. Proficient with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Microsoft Office, and applicant tracking systems. Willingness to travel throughout our operating regions.
