This is not a traditional recruiting role. It sits at the intersection of talent acquisition, employer brand, culture activation, and employee experience — and it requires someone who can operate at the strategic level while staying deeply hands-on in execution. You'll partner with HR, Marketing, and business leaders to build the systems, relationships, and experiences that make SumnerOne a place people choose — and stay.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Talent Acquisition Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles with a focus on efficiency and quality of hire Leverage AI-enabled tools to streamline sourcing, screening, and scheduling without sacrificing candidate experience Build proactive talent pipelines for critical and recurring roles — don't wait for the req to open Partner with hiring managers on structured, consistent interview processes that reduce bias and improve decisions Deliver a high-quality candidate experience from first touch through offer and onboarding transition Talent Experience & Employer Brand Own the candidate journey end-to-end and continuously improve it based on feedback and data Partner with Marketing to strengthen SumnerOne's employer brand presence across platforms Develop content and messaging that authentically reflects our culture, values, and Hear to Serve philosophy Implement candidate feedback loops to capture experience data and act on it Culture & Engagement Activation Lead and support Culture Committee initiatives that move the needle on engagement Translate engagement survey insights into tangible action — close the loop visibly Support recognition programs and employee experience touchpoints tied to measurable outcomes Partner with HR and leadership to reinforce a consistent, connected employee experience across locations Training & Development Support development and delivery of training related to hiring, onboarding, and manager effectiveness Identify gaps in early-tenure experience and recommend scalable, repeatable solutions Contribute to continuous improvement of onboarding programs with a focus on 90-day retention and time-to-productivity Partner with HR to reinforce performance management and employee development practices Workforce Insights & Continuous Improvement Track and report on key recruiting and engagement metrics — time-to-fill, quality of hire, candidate experience scores, retention Identify trends in talent market data and bring proactive recommendations to leadership Continuously evaluate tools, processes, and practices to improve efficiency and outcomes
WHAT YOU BRING 3
to 6 years of experience in talent acquisition, HR, or a related people-focused role Hands-on experience with recruiting technology required; AI-enabled sourcing or screening tools highly preferred Strong interpersonal and influencing skills — you work well across functions and levels Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical, day-to-day execution Experience supporting culture, engagement, or employee experience initiatives preferred Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-location environment where priorities shift Strong written and verbal communication — you can tell a compelling story about who we are and why someone should join us
