Role:
As our Recruiting & Safety Manager, you will own two of the most critical functions in our operation — building our driver team and keeping it safe.
Your responsibilities include:
Managing the full driver recruiting cycle — from sourcing and screening to onboarding and orientation. Maintaining
DOT/FMCSA
compliance across all driver files, drug & alcohol programs, and HOS policies. Monitoring CSA/SMS scores and leading corrective action plans to keep us ahead of violations. Investigating accidents, coaching drivers, and delivering ongoing safety training. Building a proactive driver pipeline to support fleet growth and minimize open seats.
Ideal Candidate:
We're looking for someone who is: Experienced in driver recruiting and/or fleet safety management in the trucking industry (3+ years preferred). Knowledgeable in FMCSA, DOT, and OSHA regulations — and comfortable being the go-to person for compliance. A natural relationship-builder who earns the trust of drivers and leadership alike. Organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a small-company environment. Familiar with recruiting platforms (Tenstreet, DriverReach, Indeed) and ELD/telematics systems. CDS or NATMI certified is a plus. CDL-A is a plus.
