Director of Staff Development (DSD) Whitney Oaks Care Center |
Rocklin, CA Pay:
$45-$48/hour Whitney Oaks Care Center is looking for a Director of Staff Development (DSD) to join our team! This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed. As our DSD, you'll play a key role in developing and supporting our clinical team through education, training, and ongoing professional development. Your work will directly impact the quality of care we provide and help create a positive, supportive environment for both staff and residents. If you're an RN or LVN with long-term care experience and a passion for developing others, we'd love to hear from you! What You'll Do Coordinate and oversee staff education, orientation, and ongoing training programs Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility training requirements Plan, develop, and conduct in-service education programs Support onboarding and mentorship of new employees Maintain training records and documentation Monitor staff competencies and provide coaching as needed Assist with regulatory surveys and quality improvement initiatives Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and performance improvement opportunities Foster a culture of learning, teamwork, and excellence in resident care Qualifications Current California RN or LVN license in good standing Long-term care or skilled nursing experience required Previous staff development, education, leadership, or supervisory experience preferred Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to skilled nursing facilities Passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping others grow professionally Ability to work independently while building strong relationships with staff at all levels Why Whitney Oaks Care Center?
