Job Description

Job Summary:
Lead and manage all baseball training operations at our batting cage facility. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive hitting development program, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the batting cage, and managing a team of assistant hitting instructors. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a deep understanding of hitting mechanics, player development, and staff supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development & Instruction Design and maintain a progressive hitting program tailored to players of all ages and skill levels. Incorporate modern training techniques, drills, and performance analytics. Monitor player progress and adjust programming based on individual development goals. Occasionally lead training sessions, private lessons, and clinics. Staff Management Recruit, train, and manage a team of assistant hitting instructors. Develop staff training protocols to ensure consistent coaching methodology. Provide mentorship, feedback, and performance evaluations to instructional staff. Create work schedules and manage timekeeping. Facility & Operations Oversight Oversee daily operations of the batting cage facility, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cleanliness. Manage equipment setup, maintenance, and proper usage protocols. Coordinate scheduling of lessons, clinics, camps, and team rentals. Ensure high-quality customer service and client satisfaction. Collaborate with ownership/management to set strategic goals, pricing, and marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
Significant experience in baseball coaching, ideally with a focus on hitting (college/pro level experience a plus). Previous leadership or management experience required. Strong understanding of hitting mechanics, training tools, and player development systems. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Kinesiology, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Familiarity with video analysis tools (e.g., Rapsodo, HitTrax, Blast Motion). Experience managing athletic or instructional programs. Customer service or business management experience is a strong plus.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
