Job Summary:
The L&D Executive Facilitator serves as a senior facilitator and strategic partner supporting Vice President-level and above leaders across UCSF. In close partnership with HR Business Partners and Organizational Development (OD) Consultants, this role delivers high-impact executive facilitation aligned to enterprise leadership priorities, organizational effectiveness, engagement, performance, and change initiatives. This role focuses on enabling senior leaders and teams through expertly facilitated experiences that accelerate alignment, decision-making, leadership effectiveness, and organizational performance-leveraging enterprise frameworks and solutions.

Operating Model This role supports senior leaders through facilitation that is coordinated through HR Business Partners and Organizational Consultants. The HRBP stays closely connected to the business, while this role is brought in to lead key conversations and sessions that move work forward. The Facilitator focuses on creating space for alignment, decision-making, and leadership effectiveness, while staying closely tied to the broader work already in motion. It's less about standalone delivery and more about reinforcing and supporting the overall approach in a way that feels seamless to leaders. % of time Essential Function (Yes/No) Key Responsibilities (To be completed by Supervisor) 40% Yes Executive Facilitation & Advisory Facilitates executive-level sessions for VP+ leaders, including leadership team effectiveness, strategic alignment, decision-making, performance discussions, engagement dialogues, and change initiatives. Provides real-time coaching and guidance to senior leaders to enhance effectiveness and outcomes. 25% Yes Partnership with HRBPs & OD Consultants Partners with and through the HRBPs as the primary conduit to the business and collaborates with OD Consultants to align facilitation to broader organizational strategies, priorities, and interventions. Ensures facilitation engagements are integrated, sequenced, and reinforce enterprise approaches. 15% Yes Leadership Effectiveness & Performance Alignment Enables senior leaders to strengthen leadership capability, accountability, and performance practices through facilitated experiences aligned with enterprise performance management and leadership expectations. 10% Yes Engagement, Culture & Change Facilitation Facilitates leadership discussions and interventions tied to engagement insights, culture priorities, and change efforts-driving alignment, ownership, and sustained adoption at the executive level. 10% Yes Enterprise Alignment & Facilitation Excellence Delivers consistent, high-quality facilitation aligned to UCSF frameworks, ensuring scalability and coherence across business units. Required:
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. 5 - 7 years directly related experience in executive facilitation and leadership development. Advanced expertise in executive facilitation, group dynamics, and leadership team effectiveness Proven ability to work with VP+ leaders and navigate complex, high-stakes environments Strong partnership skills within a triad model (HRBP, OD Consultant, L&D) Ability to guide senior leaders through performance, engagement, and change conversations Exceptional presence, influencing skills, and executive communication Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to manage sensitive organizational dynamics Ability to translate enterprise frameworks into impactful executive-level experiences High level of adaptability and responsiveness in live facilitation environments Experience in academic health systems or large, matrixed organizations

Advanced degree in organizational development, business, or related field preferred.
