Job Description The Leadership Development Strategist & Facilitator plays a critical role in building and strengthening leadership capability at the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) through scalable leadership development programs, manager resources and professional development experiences. This role combines strategy, execution, facilitation, and consulting to help leaders grow, improve manager effectiveness, and develop high-potential talent. This position requires both strategic thinking and a strong doer mentality. The ideal candidate can build upon the vision, influence stakeholders, and independently deliver high-quality leadership experiences, tools, and resources aligned with NLRs priorities and leadership competencies. The Leadership Development Strategist and Facilitator is led by the Manager of Learning and Organizational Development (L&OD), will involve close collaboration with members across the L&OD team, senior leaders, HR Business Partners, and external development partners to drive and continuously improve managerial and leadership success and effectiveness at all levels. The ideal candidate will model NLRs Six Leadership Competencies (6Cs) through their own leadership approach, including strong communication, collaboration, courage, credibility, coaching, compassion, and critical decision-making. This role will be hybrid, spending a minimum of two days per week onsite at the Golden, CO campus.
Responsibilities:
Leadership Development Own and lead the execution, scaling, and continuous improvement of NLRs leadership development strategy across all leader levels, including NLR's existing leadership programs. Build scalable manager enablement resources, including forums, lunch and learns, just in time development tools Create and execute the strategic approach for leadership and professional development experiences using internal expertise, peer learning models, and understanding budget realities through creative delivery methods, and external partnership including Center for Creative Leadership (CCL). Measure program effectiveness through participation, engagement, and behavioral change using the feedback and data insights to continuously improve leadership programs and offerings Manage NLRs participation in Battelle and National Laboratory development programs, including overseeing the nomination process for participants Program Facilitation and Evaluation Facilitate in-person and virtual leadership and professional development experiences (approximately 30% of time), while building scalable solutions Debrief 360 feedback and other assessment results in conjunction with leadership development programs Succession Program Collaboration Partner with the L&OD Succession Management lead in planning efforts to identify and develop high-potential talent Design and implement development plans and experiences for high-potential talent, including stretch opportunities, coaching, assessments, and developmental pathways Competency Integration Integrate NLRs 6Cs into leadership development, performance management, succession planning, hiring, onboarding, and manager enablement resources. This will include close partnership with the L&OD Succession Management and Performance Management process lead, and our Talent Acquisition team. Collaborate with HR Business Partners to support team effectiveness and leadership capability through workshops and development activities External Partnerships and Continuous Improvement Manage external leadership development partnerships to ensure alignment with NLR priorities and budget considerations Drive consistency in leadership language, tools, and development approaches across programs Continuously evaluate programs for alignment with organizational priorities and the

development model Success in the First Year Implement, execute, and facilitate LEAD programming and develop roadmap for future levels Build scalable manager enablement resources Integrate the 6Cs into performance, succession, hiring, and development systems Establish leadership development metrics and reporting Build strong partnerships across HR, senior leaders, and external partners Identify scalable and efficient leadership development solutions Become certified to facilitate CCL courses and 360 benchmarks and Insights Discovery programming . Basic Qualifications Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 9 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Master's Degree and 7 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant PhD and 4 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant JD and 4 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience.

Additional Required Qualifications Experience designing scalable leadership development strategies Experience building manager capability resources Strong facilitation, project management, and execution skills Experience using data and feedback to improve learning programs Ability to influence senior leaders and navigate ambiguity Experience facilitating personality and style assessments, ideally using Insights Discovery Experience facilitating 360 benchmark assessments and debriefs, CCL Benchmarks preferred Preferred Qualifications Insights Discovery accredited CCL facilitator and 360 benchmark assessment certified Experience in cohort based and scalable learning experiences Change Management experience .
