Group Georgetown Not disclosed Permanent full-time Updated 25/06/2026 Human Resources (Guyana) Apply Now Share Share this job Facebook Twitter Report This Job Save Save The Learning and Development Manager develops, implements, and evaluates the Company's L&D strategy to enhance organizational capability, leadership effectiveness, and employee performance through innovative learning, succession planning, and talent development aligned with business objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute the Company's L&D Strategy aligned to business objectives and future workforce capability requirements.
  • Conduct organizational training needs analyses and competency gap assessments and translate findings into annual learning plans and development initiatives.
  • Design, implement and evaluate leadership development programmes, technical training, onboarding programmes and professional development initiatives across all levels of the organization.
  • Manage the Company's performance management framework by supporting managers in objective setting, coaching, feedback, development planning and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Develop individual development plans (IDPs) for key talent and recommend appropriate learning interventions, coaching opportunities and career pathways.
  • Lead employee coaching, mentoring and management development programmes to improve leadership capability and employee engagement.
  • Manage learning technologies including Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms and digital learning solutions to improve accessibility and learning effectiveness.
  • Evaluate learning interventions using appropriate measurement methodologies and provide reports on programme effectiveness, return on investment (ROI), learning impact and business outcomes.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and recommend learning solutions that improve operational performance and customer experience.
  • Source and manage external learning providers, consultants and training vendors to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Support organizational change initiatives through change management interventions, communication strategies and capability-building activities.
  • Prepare and analyze L&D metrics, dashboards and reports to support business decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Manage departmental budgets related to learning and development initiatives and ensure effective utilization of resources.
  • Supervise L&D staff and ensure the delivery of high-quality internal services to all client groups.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects related to employee capability, leadership effectiveness and organizational performance.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management or Regional HC to ensure the effective operation of the department.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Organizational Development or related discipline.
  • Professional HR certification or membership in an accredited association would be an asset.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of five (5) years' work experience in Learning and Development, Talent Management or Organizational Development.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' leadership or supervisory experience managing Learning and Development programmes and initiatives.
  • Experience in designing leadership development programmes, competency frameworks and succession planning processes would be an asset.
  • Experience in facilitating training and coaching leaders across multiple organizational levels.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies and organizational development practices.
  • Knowledge of competency frameworks, succession planning and talent management processes.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning platforms and modern learning technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure learning effectiveness and demonstrate business impact.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
