Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for driving the successful execution of training and development initiatives from concept through delivery. The Training & Development Program Manager partners with business leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and implement impactful training programs that support operational performance. This role serves as the connective thread across all training projects, ensuring strong project management practices are embedded in planning, execution, and delivery. The Training & Development Program Manager ensures timelines are met, stakeholders are aligned, and training outcomes are achieved while leveraging instructional design principles and learning technologies.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
  • Manage training initiatives from inception to delivery, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across all training projects, maintaining clear timelines, priorities, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to gather content, define learning objectives, and ensure accuracy and relevance of training materials.
  • Design and develop training programs using instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Create engaging e-learning content using course authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, or similar platforms).
  • Administer and manage training content within the Learning Management System (LMS), including assignments, tracking, and reporting.
  • Facilitate stand-up training sessions (virtual and in-person), ensuring effective delivery and learner engagement.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively address challenges to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Identify training gaps and recommend solutions aligned with operational needs.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve training effectiveness through feedback, performance metrics, and data analysis.
  • Ensure consistency and standardization across training programs and materials.
  • Support organizational initiatives by aligning training deliverables with company rollouts and priorities.
  • Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Adaptability Qualifications:
  • Typically requires at least 3-5 years of experience in training, instructional design, project management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
  • Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop training content.
  • Proven ability to facilitate training sessions in both virtual and in-person environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to execute in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor s degree in Training & Development, Education, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Computer literate with strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Eligible to legally work in the United States.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Applicable military experience will be considered.
  • Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
