Provides oversight of human resources functions for the department in partnership with the University's HR department. This position will seek to enhance all employee communications, department events, employee education on University policies, and adherence to University and NCAA rules and guidelines. Responsible for the implementation of the Department's HR policies and procedures in conjunction with the University Human Resources Office. Facilitates departmental orientation programs; creation of professional development opportunities; coordination of Town Hall meetings; oversight of all department hiring in conjunction with the University Human Resources Office; oversight of employee performance appraisals; and other HR-related duties as assigned by the VP/AD. Acts as a liaison for the Department of Athletics with the University HR Office on personnel matters. Manages Sport Program Administrators, including conducting meetings to ensure the consistent operation of sport programs, keeping the team informed of critical issues, and ensuring all are operating in alignment with the goals and directives set by the VP/AD. Serves as the administrator of assigned sport programs and the liaison between sport operations and staff and the VP/AD. Provides leadership to the department's Sport Program Administrators, including hosting meetings to ensure awareness of critical issues and the consistent operation of sport programs in alignment with the goals and directives set by the VP/AD. Serves as the Senior Woman Administrator (SWA), acting as a liaison to coaches and administrative staff, participating on conference committees, and fulfilling the Title IX role for Athletics, including attending in-person meetings, Zoom calls, and other related activities. Provides recommendations to implement and modify Athletics Department guidelines, including travel protocols and reimbursements, cell phone usage and stipends, sport championship travel parties and gifts, association memberships, and other internal initiatives. conferences and meetings. Responsible for implementing and interpreting University, state, and federal policies and procedures, as well as developing and implementing department procedures. Responsible for implementing and interpreting NCAA rules and regulations. Performs other duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Qualifications Master's degree and five years of experience or a Bachelor's degree and seven years of experience. Additional education may substitute for experience.
