Job Description Summary/Objective The Clinical Trainer will work with the Clinical Director and Executive Leadership Team to ensure the clinical training and professional development of all behavior therapists with an expressed role in obtaining the RBT certificate. The Clinical Trainer will support the development and implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) training programs, assist in the creation of an internal RBT Academy, and collaborate on continuing education opportunities for employees. Essential Functions Adhere to all BACB ethical standards. Develop and deliver interactive learning programs designed to engage and educate BTs and RBTs. Create and implement ABA training programs for BTs, RBTs, and clinical staff. Work collaboratively with Executive Leadership to develop and maintain the company's RBT Academy. Partner with the Executive Team to develop continuing education and professional development opportunities for employees. Maintain all BT/RBT clinical training files. Oversee the credentialing process for all BTs. Oversee the re-credentialing process for RBTs. Conduct periodic mass clinical seminars and workshops as requested by the Clinical Director. Complete monthly therapists' evaluations. Conduct CC level training system with all BT/RBTs. Conduct therapist observations to identify training needs. Work with OMs, OAs, BCBAs, and BCaBAs to address employee training deficits and development needs. Assist BCBAs and BCaBAs with therapist training by conducting fidelity checks (data collection, skill acquisition, program adherence, etc.). Conduct 40-hour RBT training for incoming BTs. Meet with BTs weekly until RBT certification has been obtained. Assist with RBT competency assessments as requested and approved by the Clinical Director. Travel between Conduct Curb locations to support credentialing, re-credentialing, recertifications, and the training and evaluation of BTs and RBTs across all Conduct Curb centers. Perform other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Work with the Clinical Director to ensure the clinical training of all behavior therapists with an expressed role in obtaining the RBT certificate. Partner with Operations Managers on training and development for RBTs. Collaborate with Executive Leadership regarding clinical training initiatives, employee development, and continuing education opportunities. May be asked to assist with RBT supervision. Physical Demands The Clinical Trainer may be required to stand for extended periods of time, maneuver flights of stairs, lift heavy objects/clients on a regular basis, and/or do repetitive tasks with few breaks. May also be required to use various methods of safe physical management techniques to ensure the safety of Conduct Curb clients and staff. Travel Required Approximately 10-25% travel between Conduct Curb centers, as needed for collaboration, staff training, operational support, and clinical oversight. Required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field. Certified or Eligible for Certification as a BCBA or BCaBA. Experience developing and implementing ABA training programs. OR Minimum of 5 (five) of professional experience in Applied Behavior Analysis. Minimum of 3 (three) years' experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other developmental disabilities. Experience developing and implementing ABA training programs. Preferred Education and Experience Trained in safe physical management techniques (or able to attend and participate in safe physical management technique training) Certification as a BCBA or BCaBA preferred Experience providing staff training, mentorship, and clinical oversight preferred. Completion of the 8-hour BACB Supervisor Training (may also complete 8-hour training within the first 2 weeks of employment). Additional Eligibility Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Must pass criminal and sexual abuse background checks. Must provide proof of clean TB and drug tests.
