Position Overview Under minimal supervision responsible for coordinating all DUF6 project training programs at assigned site to ensure all organizational staff, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) representatives and subcontractors obtain the required knowledge, skills and abilities required to accomplish the DUF6 project mission safely and effectively in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, specifications, laws, statutes and regulations. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Functional:
Leads the training department for all DUF6 project training programs at assigned site Supervises training and procedure personnel at assigned site Provides final review (i.e., proofing, editing, amending) and approval of all training development materials Prepares training implementation matrix (TIM) for submission to DOE for approval Works with the Training Advisory Group (TAG) to develop an effective training management plan Ensures DUF6 project employees are qualified to perform their jobs, and are in compliance with applicable laws, statutes, and regulations Monitors and reports status of training and development programs to functional managers Reports delinquencies and deficiencies in training to line managers and management Implements and maintains the five-step systematic approach to training (SAT) process Maintains training records and training materials development and control processes Assists line managers to develop training forecasts and budget requests Evaluates candidate education, experience and training history, and provides recommendations for equivalency/alternatives of education, experience and training when deficient Provides input to the contracting organization on training requirements for subcontracts Provides training direction, advice, and administrative support to organizational departments Performs periodic assessments of training program Qualifies training instructors Serves as the Requirements Area Coordinator (RAC) Acts as a point-of-contact for training and procedure audits
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Training, Education or related discipline or equivalent Courses in education or training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing, as well as evaluation of training programs (if not included in baccalaureate course material) Successful completion of training on facility operating characteristics and principles, and operating limits (Safety Limits, Limiting Control Settings, and Limiting Conditions for Operation) and their bases or have had significant involvement in writing Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs) Facility-specific training based upon a comparison of the individual's background and abilities with the responsibilities and duties of the position 14+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required 4+ years of nuclear experience
