Job Description

Job Summary - Why you'll love this position The Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) seeks to hire a Staff Development Training Manager. This is a Central Office position located in Jefferson City, Missouri. The base salary offered for this position is up to $80,000.00 annually, commensurate with education and experience. If the selected candidate is eligible for a pay differential, such as retention pay, the total salary may exceed what is listed in this posting. Responsibilities - What you'll do Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordinate and develop training for initiatives within the Division of Developmental Disabilities. Monitor training contracts and budgets. Coordinate and develop policies and procedures related to the training programs. Collaborate with the Policy Manager to incorporate policies and procedures into the Division of Developmental Disabilities' online policy manual. Assess, identify, and manage training programs such as Connexion, Support Coordination, and Self-Directed Services, among others. Review feedback on training performance from Division staff and other stakeholders, and make the necessary improvements with training instructors. Provide technical assistance and training. Design training and instruction. Supervise training team, and take accountability for the performance of training staff and compliance with established objectives and regulations. Travel and overnight stays are required. Qualifications - All you need for success
Required Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills. Ability to provide technical assistance in a variety of subject matters. Knowledge of Instructional Design best practices. Skill in complex problem-solving. Knowledge of accessibility requirements and tools. Ability to analyze and enhance system efficiency. Skill in proofreading. Four to seven years of professional experience in training, instructional design, Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability (IDD) services, or other closely related areas, of which at least two (2) years must have involved supervisory, managerial or consultative experience in developing and/or managing training related to IDD services; and possession of a Bachelor's degree with specialization in Social Work, Psychology or Public Administration, Urban studies or other closely related areas. (Additional years of general qualifying experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required educational qualifications) Lack of post‐secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of initiatives within DDD. Knowledge of support coordination and other IDD services.
