Learning and Development Manager Company & Role Description Founded in 2002, Tanner Pharma Group is a specialty service provider in the biopharmaceutical industry focused on improving patient access to medicines on a global basis. This role leads the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of scalable learning experiences across Tanner Pharma Group. The Learning & Development Manager partners with leaders and teams to ensure onboarding, functional training, and ongoing development are aligned to business priorities, company culture, and ways of working. Role Accountabilities Responsible for designing, managing, and delivering a company-wide training program that supports associate onboarding, role-based capability building, and continuous development. Success in this role includes creating clear learning pathways, maintaining high-quality training content, enabling consistent delivery across teams, and measuring training effectiveness to drive adoption and performance. This position also supports practical AI literacy and responsible AI usage through role-appropriate learning experiences that help teams improve productivity and decision-making while adhering to company standards and confidentiality expectations. Expected Responsibilities for the Learning and Development Manager are: Own and continuously improve Tanner Pharma Group's learning approach across onboarding, functional/role-based training, and ongoing development. Partner with leaders and subject matter experts to assess learning needs, define outcomes, and build training plans that align to business priorities and the Tanner employee experience. Design and develop training materials and facilitation guides (virtual and in-person) that are clear, engaging, and consistent with Tanner standards. Deliver and/or coordinate training sessions, including new-hire onboarding experiences and targeted capability-building for teams. Establish and maintain a scalable learning content library (e.g., modules, job aids, templates) with clear ownership, version control, and periodic review. Implement evaluation methods (e.g., feedback, knowledge checks, adoption metrics) and use insights to improve content quality and training impact. Support leaders and managers with practical tools and guidance to reinforce learning on the job, including role expectations and development conversations. Develop and deliver role-appropriate AI literacy learning (e.g., using AI tools effectively, prompt basics where applicable, and productivity use cases) that is practical and business-focused. Incorporate responsible AI practices into relevant training (e.g., confidentiality, data handling, validation of outputs, appropriate use cases) in partnership with internal stakeholders. Coordinate training logistics (scheduling, communications, materials readiness) and ensure a consistent learner experience across locations and teams.
Desired Candidate Profile & Capabilities Required:
BA/BS or equivalent experience. 3+ years of experience in learning and development, training program management, instructional design, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience designing and facilitating training for diverse audiences (e.g., onboarding, functional training, process/tool training). Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, practical learning materials. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and timelines with a high attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams). Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting training in a regulated environment (e.g., life sciences, healthcare, quality systems) or in cross-functional operations environments. Experience building scalable learning libraries, learning paths, and standard work/job aids across multiple departments. Experience supporting change management initiatives through training, reinforcement tools, and adoption measurement. Familiarity with emerging AI tools used in business settings and experience enabling teams to apply them responsibly in day-to-day work.
