Job Description

JOB The Division Chair for Continuing Education is responsible for providing leadership in the development, implementation, and coordination of not only workforce development programs and services but also College and Career Readiness programs and services at the college. The Division Chair for Continuing Education is also responsible for identifying business and industry training needs within the college's service area- in collaboration with other departments and divisions- to support regional economic development initiatives. Other position duties include, but are not limited to: ensuring that programs possess the necessary resources, supplies, and equipment to promote educational excellence; overseeing the preparation of budgetary requests as well as managing procurements (e.g., travel, supply, equipment) and other expenditures; supervising personnel and directing personnel-related activities (e.g., recruitment of new employees, employee evaluations, etcetera); adhering to all administrative rules or regulatory requirements in compliance with institutional, state or federal guidelines; generating and verifying the accuracy of both internal and external reports (e.g., grants, fees, classes, etcetera) along with employee contracts and time sheet submissions; and performing other duties as assigned.

Standard Working Hours:
40-hour work week.
Salary:
Final salary determination based upon education and experience.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Bachelor's degree, required. Three (3) years of administrative experience at the coordinator, director, or senior administrative level within continuing education or workforce development in a community college, preferred. Master's degree, preferred. Some travel and occasional work during the evenings or weekends are required to maintain active engagement in campus and community activities.
