This role requires a strong understanding of social determinants of health, adult learning principles, and virtual training, along with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems. The Assistant Director collaborates with collaborates with community-based organizations, healthcare partners, and state agencies to advance health equity, expand CHW career pathways, and support the development of sustainable funding and reimbursement models. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Community Health Worker Workforce Development
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Workforce Development to expand and strengthen workforce programs aligned with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and implement administrative processes, reporting systems and program tracking tools to ensure accountability.
  • Conduct needs assessments and program evaluations; recommend improvements to enhance performance and participant engagement.
  • Plan and facilitate in-person and virtual trainings, meetings, and presentations. Research, Data Analysis & Community Health Assessment
  • Analyze population health data using geospatial and other data platforms to assess community needs and outcomes.
  • Manage survey results from Survey Monkey and coordinate data analysis with research teams.
  • Support research and evaluation efforts to inform program design, workforce impact, and community health outcomes. Recruitment & Partnership Development
  • Represent the organization at conferences, outreach events, and workforce initiatives.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with healthcare organizations, community-based organizations, educational institutions, and public health agencies.
  • Support statewide outreach and stakeholder engagement. Community Care Hub Development
  • Support development of CHW reimbursement strategies, including Medicaid billing infrastructure.
  • Support collaboration with healthcare providers, payers, and policy stakeholders to advance sustainable funding mechanisms
  • Assist in developing operational workflows, technical assistance materials and training resources.
  • Support the development of community care coordination and billing hub models.
  • Identify opportunities for program innovation, funding diversification, and organizational growth.
  • Other duties may be assigned or required for the performance of this position Qualifications in order of Priority
  • Experience in public health, community health, workforce development, healthcare administration, or related fields.
  • Strong project management, partnership development, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with healthcare reimbursement, Medicaid programs, or value-based care initiatives preferred.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, program evaluation, and community health assessment tools.
  • Knowledge of Community Health Worker workforce models, apprenticeship programs, and adult learning principles, with experience managing learning management systems and coordinated training programs. Education, Experience & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Social Work, Public Health and 2-3 years of job experience.
  • Experience in program development
  • Experience in adult learning and curriculum design preferred.
  • Experience in volunteer coordination is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance required
