Talent and Training Coordinator Reports to:
Project Director Position Classification:
Non-Exempt Wage range: $26 - $28/hour
Primary Objectives of Position:
Oversees hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing staff development at the project level to ensure the workforce is fully prepared to deliver consistent, compliant, and high-quality services without disruption to customer experience. This position is hybrid, with a combination of remote work and an in-office presence. Travel throughout Borderplex area required.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversees recruitment, screening, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development for all project positions Manages recruitment activities for vacancies and expansion needs, including candidate sourcing and job postings through WorkInTexas (WIT) andother approved platforms Coordinates interview scheduling, selection processes, and onboarding timelines in collaboration with leadership Provides labor relations support aligned with company culture Coordinates and delivers hands on and virtual staff training and operational readiness across the project Administers climate assessments and coordinates customer satisfaction survey delivery, evaluating for training needs Trains staff on ADA-compliant support equipment, assistive technologies, and accessibility standards Supports implementation of hybrid and virtual service delivery models through staff training and technology readiness, assessing model implementation progress and reporting observations to leadership team Tracks training completion, certifications, and competency requirements Coordinates with Quality and Performance staff to identify training needs based on monitoring results and performance trends Completes 90 day reviews and exit interviews Utilizes Extreme Customer Service behaviors in all interactions with staff and leadership

Required Competencies:
Extreme Customer Service focus, ability to utilize coaching techniques to drive exceptional performance and quality results, learning orientation, communication proficiency, teamwork orientation, technical capacity.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, education, business, human services, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Credentials:
Certified Workforce Development Professional credential preferred
Experience:
Minimum of three years experience in workforce development, training coordination, human resources, or staff development in a compliance-driven environment
Skills/Abilities:
Strong organizational and instructional skills; knowledge of workforce systems and employment regulations; ability to manage multiple priorities; experience delivering in-person and virtual training; strong communication, coaching, and documentation skills
Technology Requirement:
Position requires strong technology proficiency, including use of workforce information systems, Microsoft 365 applications, electronic case management, virtual service delivery tools, and evolving AI-enabled platforms in a paperless environment. Successful completion of a basic IT skills assessment is required.
Additional Requirements:
Must have valid driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage.
