Full-Time, Day Shift (With 24/7 accountability) At Novant Health East Cooper Medical Center, located in beautiful Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, we combine advanced medical technology with compassionate, community-focused care. As an integral part of the expanding Novant Health system, our dedicated women's services program features expert maternity suites and Mount Pleasant's only Level II Special Care Nursery (NICU). We are committed to providing a remarkable, safe, and supportive birth and healing experience for families across the Lowcountry. In this role, you will champion clinical excellence, cultivate a supportive team culture, manage operational budgets, and ensure absolute regulatory compliance. You will serve as a vital link between frontline clinical staff, providers, and executive leadership to maintain Novant Health's high standards of quality, safety, and patient experience.
What We're Looking For:
Education:
4 Year / Bachelors Degree. Bachelors Degree in Nursing required. Graduate Degree, preferred.
Experience:
Two years demonstrated leadership experience, preferred. Three years clinical RN experience in an acute care setting, preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy
NH-HR-3096.
Licensure/certification/registration:
Current RN licensure in appropriate state required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Board certification in area of practice, preferred.

What You'll Do:
Direct day-to-day operations and clinical workflows across L&D, the Level II NICU, and postpartum care units. Maintain a standard of high-quality, patient-centered care by implementing evidence-based practices and driving performance improvement initiatives. Ensure full compliance with all local, state, federal, and Joint Commission regulations. Recruit, retain, and mentor a high-performing nursing team. Foster a healthy work environment rooted in safe communication, accountability, and psychological safety. Oversee scheduling, performance evaluations, and the professional growth of your staff. Develop and manage the annual operational and capital budgets for Women's Services. Optimize resource allocation, staffing grids, and productivity metrics to align with patient acuity and volume demands. Collaborate with material management to ensure continuous availability of essential specialized clinical equipment.
