To assist in planning, organizing, and supervising the day-to-day operational activities to achieve branch and division training and development objectives. Direct the development and implementation of a learner centric curriculum and associated resources to support Navy Federal's strategic goals and mission. Initiate process/procedural recommendations and lead moderately complex projects to improve overall branch efficiency. Act as Assistant Manager/Manager in the incumbent's absence. Responsibilities Initiate, evaluate and develop plans for innovative designs that enhance and/or modify communications regarding appropriate training techniques, technologies and programs to enhance effectiveness
Plan, develop, and provide training and development programs for business units, using knowledge of effective methods (e.g., classroom training, demonstrations, on the job training, meetings, conferences, e-learning, workshops, and other job aids, etc.)
Supervise needs assessments to support organizational learning needs; evaluate instructor performance, the effectiveness of training programs and provide recommendations for improvement to management
Work closely with internal communication partners to explore and initiate more effective methods of communicating with our employees
Identify, recommend, implement and adjust training techniques, technologies, programs, etc., to enhance and maximize the training experience for employees
Oversee and provide guidance regarding the planning and management of programs and systems to deliver exceptional learning solutions to employees
Develop new concepts, strategies, and innovative approaches to design innovative learning solutions
Lead and participate in cross-departmental project teams to enhance and develop training products/services and plan/implement change management solutions
May serve as primary point of contact for project management and other related issues
Provide support to aid in the development of instructional courses tailored to meet desired learning outcomes
Conduct and coordinate ongoing technical training, and personal development classes for direct reports as well as for executive leadership
Identify and resolve operational and performance gaps and obstacles; recommend and implement changes and improvements
Provide analysis and recommendations to influence decisions by team members, department leadership, and business partners
Compile, research and analyze trends in support of projects and initiatives including computer-based training, to modify and improve existing programs
Partner with other business units and vendors to improve procedures, resolve problems, and implement initiatives, present conclusions and recommendations to management
Monitor assigned projects to ensure that goals and objectives are completed according to schedule; collaborate with project teams to ensure business needs are met
Ensure effective management of projects from inception through implementation and in accordance with customer expectations, timelines and budget constraints
Supervise, mentor, and develop team; ensure team has the resources to be successful in their roles; provide support and feedback, and develop solutions when appropriate
Create an effective method of minimizing conflict and dealing with it when it takes place; and be a good listener and mediator
Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Working knowledge of principles and processes for measuring and evaluating program and individual effectiveness and developing alternative corrective actions
Working knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, educational theory, tools and resources
Significant experience in designing and executing multifaceted training campaigns
Significant experience managing presentation and publication production projects
Significant experience in online publishing and project tracking tools and programs
Experience in implementing strategic initiatives at the tactical level
Experience in supervising and/or leading professional employees
Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of courses, learning products and delivery methods
Experience demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative-taking, decision-making and creativity solving business problems
Experience in working with cross-functional teams and leading large projects/initiatives and managing multiple priorities simultaneously which have business risk and impact
Significant experience in time management and organizational skills
Advanced skill in assessing organizational training needs and researching topics for course development
Advanced skill to successfully influence, lead and /or guide others towards goals
Effective skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
Effective skill in results-oriented leadership in a challenging environment
Advanced skill in systems analysis and design techniques
Advanced skill interacting with staff, management, vendors and members diplomatically and tactfully
Advanced problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team building, and presentation skills
Advanced verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Advanced database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Familiarity with banking/financial industry trends, products and services
Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives
Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal's products, services, programs, policies and procedures
Effective skill capturing and translating processes and requirements into easily understood terms Desired Qualifications Knowledge working with Asana, ADO (Azure Dev Ops), Microsoft products, and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
