This position provides instructional leadership and coordinates the day-to-day delivery of apprenticeship and workforce training programs. The Training Manager is responsible for instructor development, curriculum implementation, hands-on training initiatives, classroom operations, and overall instructional quality. Reporting to the Operations & Education Director, the Training Manager works closely with instructors, contractors, apprentices, and industry partners to support a positive learning environment and ensure the successful delivery of apprenticeship and workforce training programs. The ideal candidate is a respected electrical industry professional who is passionate about workforce development and committed to preparing the next generation of electricians for success. Responsibilities Supervise and support apprenticeship and adjunct instructors Recruit, onboard, and mentor instructional staff Lead instructor meetings and instructional planning activities Support curriculum implementation and hands-on lab training Assist with apprenticeship scheduling, training events, and competitions Coordinate classroom operations, instructional resources, and training materials Collaborate with contractors, instructors, and industry partners Promote instructional quality, safety, and workforce readiness Support continuing education and workforce development initiatives Qualifications Master Electrician license strongly preferred Journeyman Electrician license required if not currently licensed at the master level Minimum 5 years of electrical industry experience Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and industry best practices Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Comfortable using Microsoft Office, instructional technology, and learning management systems About IEC Fort Worth IEC Fort Worth is committed to developing the next generation of electrical professionals through high-quality apprenticeship, continuing education, and workforce development programs serving Fort Worth and the surrounding communities.
