Job Description

Job Description At Alaska Airlines, we are looking for a Manager of Learning Design and Development to join our team. This role is responsible for leading the design and development of learning solutions that enhance employee performance and engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, adult learning principles, and experience in managing a team. As a Manager, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify learning needs and create innovative training programs. You will also oversee the implementation of learning technologies and ensure that all training materials are up to date and effective.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of learning programs and materials. Manage a team of instructional designers and training specialists. Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed. Oversee the implementation of learning technologies and platforms. Ensure compliance with regulatory training requirements. Develop and manage budgets for training initiatives. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
Your Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, or related field. 5+ years of experience in instructional design and training development. 2+ years of experience in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Experience with learning management systems and e-learning development tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
