Job Description

The Summer Intern - HR (Training & Development) will support the design, development, and implementation of training programs within the plant. This role is ideal for a student interested in instructional design, workforce development, and HR operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and updating training materials, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, visual guides, presentations, and e-learning modules Partner with HR, operations, QA, and safety teams to gather content and ensure accuracy of training materials Observe production processes on the plant floor to translate procedures into clear, easy-to-understand training content Support onboarding and orientation programs by organizing materials and assisting with delivery as needed Help standardize training documentation across departments Assist in converting existing paper-based training into digital formats Participate in evaluating training effectiveness and recommend improvements Ensure all training materials align with company policies, USDA regulations, OSHA standards, and food safety requirements Maintain organized training files and documentation for audit readiness Minimum Qualifications Upcoming Sophomore- to Senior-level students who are in good standing and currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to translate complex processes into clear, concise instructions Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
