Vangst Onsite Supervisor /Processing Manager Classification:
Non-Exempt, Hourly Role Summary The Trim Trainer is a proven, high-output trimmer who has been elevated to serve as the primary instructor and quality standard-setter for new trim candidates entering the program. This is not a desk job — Trim Trainers are on the floor, trimming alongside the team, while simultaneously coaching technique, quality, and pace. Think of this as the player-coach role. You are still producing, but now you are also responsible for making the people around you better. What Success Looks Like A successful Trim Trainer shortens the learning curve for every new hire who comes through the door. Within their first week, new trimmers should understand the quality standard, the production expectation, and the workflow — because the Trainer showed them. Quality rejection rates stay low. New hires reach the minimum production threshold faster than they would without a trainer present. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain personal trim production at 0.50 lbs/hr minimum while performing training duties Provide hands-on instruction to new trim candidates on correct trimming technique per client quality guidelines Train new hires on workspace organization, cleanliness, and container labeling for weighing and credit Train new hires on timekeeping and how to log in and out of jobs correctly in the system Communicate PPE requirements and safety expectations on the floor Assess new candidate readiness during the first 1 to 3 shifts and report observations to the Vangst supervisor Flag candidates who are struggling with quality or pace early — do not wait for week-end data to surface problems Serve as a floor-level point of contact for new hires during their first two weeks Communicate quality issues, product defects, or process concerns to the Vangst supervisor immediately Support Vangst in developing and refining onboarding materials for the trim program Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older Minimum of two consecutive weeks at or above 0.55 lbs/hr on the production tracking system Zero quality bag rejections in the qualifying period Prior cannabis trimming experience required; high-volume commercial trimming experience strongly preferred Demonstrated patience and communication skills on the floor Reliable attendance record — this role requires consistent presence Ability to give and receive feedback professionally Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus Physical Requirements All physical requirements of the Trimming Technician role apply Must be able to move between workstations throughout the shift to observe and coach trainees Prolonged standing, walking, and repetitive hand motion for up to 8 hours Compensation Base pay: Per current Vangst rate card for Trim Trainer classification (above Champion Trimmer base) Bonus eligible: Per client incentive plan based on personal production output Overtime hours may be prioritized for highest-producing team members based on operational needs Reporting and Accountability Trim Trainers report directly to the Vangst Onsite Supervisor Weekly check-in with the Vangst supervisor to review trainee progress, flag concerns, and align on upcoming new hire volume Trainee performance during the first two weeks is a direct reflection of trainer effectiveness and will be tracked in those check-ins Important Notes The Trim Trainer role is a Vangst designation. Client quality standards and production tracking remain the operational benchmark.About Vangst:
