Job Description

Lead Youth Development Professional
  • Teen Center Boys & Girls Clubs of Merced County Help us launch our brand‑new Teen Center !
We're looking for a creative, energetic Lead Youth Development Professional to support daily programming, coach staff, and help create a safe, inspiring space where teens can grow, lead, and thrive. What You'll Do Lead fun, high‑quality programs and model strong youth engagement. Support curriculum, lesson plans, calendars, and daily prep. Plan and promote special events, teen activities, and grant‑funded programs. Build relationships with families, schools, and community partners. Keep program areas organized, safe, and well‑supplied. Complete required paperwork and support overall site operations. What You Bring High School diploma/GED required; some college preferred. 2+ years of youth experience (teaching, coaching, or program leadership). Strong communication, group management, and relationship‑building skills. Creativity, organization, and the ability to work independently. Prior Boys & Girls Club experience is a plus. Work Environment & Requirements MUST be available during program hours (Usually Monday
  • Friday 2pm
  • 6pm) Fast‑paced indoor setting with occasional outdoor activities.
Must pass pre‑employment screenings. Able to walk, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 40 lbs. Be part of something new. Be part of something meaningful. Apply today and help shape the Teen Center from day one.
