In this role, you will design, develop, and deliver technical training programs focused on photolithography equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing . This is a hands-on position combining technical instruction, curriculum development, and field-level equipment expertise . You will work closely with customers, field service teams, and internal engineering groups to ensure high-quality training delivery and accurate technical documentation. The role requires full-time onsite presence in a cleanroom and training facility environment . Key Responsibilities Technical Training Delivery Conduct instructor-led training for internal teams and external customers on photolithography equipment Deliver classroom and cleanroom-based training covering operation, installation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting Provide technical presentations and demonstrations in both onsite and customer environments Course & Content Development Develop, update, and maintain technical training materials, manuals, and curricula Ensure training content is accurate, current, and aligned with equipment specifications and field service requirements Validate technical procedures in collaboration with engineering and field service teams Equipment & Facility Support Operate, maintain, and prepare training equipment in cleanroom and laboratory settings Ensure training tools and systems are available and fully functional for demonstrations and instruction Support troubleshooting and verification of equipment performance Customer & Stakeholder Engagement Interface with customers to assess training needs and collect feedback for program improvement Participate in technical discussions with internal teams to share knowledge and improve training effectiveness Support field service engineers by clarifying procedures and improving technical documentation Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience) 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor equipment, field service, or technical training Strong background in photolithography or semiconductor capital equipment (etch, deposition, CMP, or similar acceptable) Hands-on experience in cleanroom or fab environments Proven experience delivering technical training (classroom + lab/cleanroom settings) Field service or equipment maintenance experience with complex electro-mechanical systems Ability to develop and revise technical documentation or training materials Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Valid driver's license with the ability to travel up to 30-50% Preferred Experience Prior experience as a technical trainer or instructor in semiconductor or industrial equipment Experience working with OEMs or wafer fab equipment vendors Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills using hand tools and diagnostic equipment Exposure to cleanroom protocols and semiconductor manufacturing processes Experience supporting customer-facing technical training programs Work Environment On-site role in San Jose cleanroom and training facility Requires use of full cleanroom PPE (gown, mask, gloves, safety glasses) Work involves close visual inspection of equipment, precision components, and measurement tools Combination of classroom instruction, lab-based training, and equipment demonstrations Travel & Schedule Approximately 30-50% travel, primarily domestic Occasional international travel (1-2 times per year) Travel durations typically 1-2 weeks per assignment Ability to work flexible shifts as needed for training schedules and customer needs Why This Role This position offers the opportunity to combine hands-on semiconductor equipment expertise with instructional leadership , supporting both customer success and internal capability development in a highly technical, fast-paced environment.
