In this vital role, you will provide compassionate support, assist with daily living activities, and foster a safe and nurturing environment. Your energy, empathy, and proactive approach will empower youth to develop resilience, independence, and confidence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful work that promotes growth and well-being for the youth we serve. Duties Supervise and Engage Youth (Ages 10-17) Maintain a safe, structured, and positive environment. Lead small‑group activities, games, and enrichment sessions Build rapport and model respectful behavior Deliver short lessons or discussions on communication, decision‑making, conflict resolution, and responsibility Support leadership development and positive peer interactions Reinforce Baxter's Place rules and culture of respect Redirect behavior calmly and consistently Document incidents and communicate concerns to the Program Lead Offer ideas for activities, workshops, and special events Provide feedback on youth needs and program improvements Collaborate with staff and volunteers to strengthen programming Experience 1-2 years of experience working with yoth, after-school programs, summer camps, and mentoring Experience driving or transporting students safely is a plus Strong skills in conflict management, behavior management, case management, and developing personalized care plans Sports coaching, Arts, Music, and recreation leadership Community outreach, youth recruitment or engaement activities. Familiarity with Gainesville's challenging community and the resources available CPR /First aid certification. Must sucessfully complete a Florida Level 2 background screening.
