Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Field Training Specialist serves as the on-site execution arm of Elev8 Fun's training and field operations function. Reporting jointly to the location General Manager and the Corporate Director of Training & Field Operations, this role delivers, reinforces, and documents training to company SOPs and brand standards across attractions, food & beverage, guest services, and defined standard safety ensuring every team member at the location operates to a consistent, defined standard.
Reporting Relationship:
Functional / program direction: Corporate Director of Training & Field Operations.
Day-to-day site direction and scheduling:
Location General Manager. No direct reports; influences performance through training, coaching, and standards reinforcement.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Onboarding & New Hire Training Assist/support new-hire orientation, welcome packet, and onboarding to company standard. Train new team members on the House Rules handbook, zero-tolerance policies (e.g., No Horseplay), and conduct expectations. SOP Delivery & Reinforcement Train and re-train staff to the Master SOP across all functional areas. Deliver POS training aligned to platform by location (CenterEdge as primary, Toast for F&B) and event ring-in / close-out procedures where applicable. Reinforce consistency between site execution and corporate standards. Attraction & Operations Training Certify and re-certify team members on attraction operating procedures and guest-interaction standards. Support cross-training to maintain coverage flexibility across stations. Safety & Compliance Train on emergency procedures, incident reporting, and Stop-Work Authority. Reinforce food-safety and loading dock / facility safety directives where role-relevant. Coaching & Performance Support Observe floor execution and deliver real-time coaching and corrective feedback. Identify skill gaps and schedule targeted retraining with the General Manager. Documentation & Reporting Track and log training completion and certification status. Provide regular training-status reporting to the General Manager and Corporate Director. Maintain audit-ready training records. Field Operations Support Support standards walks, audits, and pre-opening / launch readiness as directed. Act as a field resource during new-attraction or new-location rollouts. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Prior experience in family entertainment, hospitality, retail, or restaurant operations, ideally in a lead, trainer, or supervisor capacity. Strong verbal communication and group-facilitation / presentation ability. Comfort with POS systems (CenterEdge and/or Toast a plus). Detail-oriented with reliable documentation and record-keeping habits. Availability for flexible part-time hours, including weekends, holidays, and peak periods.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of operations, training, or lead-level experience preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., ServSafe) a plus; will provide if required for role.
Physical Requirements:
Standing and walking for the duration of the shift across the venue floor. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate active attraction areas. Occasional bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling to move equipment and training materials.
