Job Description

Position Summary, Training Specialist, Mid-Senior Level Innovative Professional Solutions, Inc. (IPS)—a successful defense contractor located in Panama City Beach, Florida—has provided exceptional support to our Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) customers for 25 years. We are looking for a Mid-Senior Level Training Specialist who possesses an understanding of software and is proactive to assist in developing and revising training courses, Job Aides, Help Files, and Quick Reference Cards while ensuring all training adheres to DoD regulations and maintaining detailed records of all changes for complex planning and evaluation tools. Additionally, the Training Specialist will provide technical support for training program development and research to include conducting in-depth analyses, surveys, and interviews with developers and stakeholders to determine training gaps and any updates to requirements.
Highlights of Responsibilities:
Quickly become familiar with existing training materials that require updating. Create Job Aids, Help Files, and Quick Reference Cards. Redline/provide updates to existing coursework.
Required Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Management. Five or more years of recent relevant Department of the Navy (DON) training support experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Three or more years of experience providing training to DON civilian and military personnel. Three or more years of experience developing and maintaining technical curriculum. Experience with Microsoft suite of tools including Teams, Outlook, Power Point, Word, and Excel. Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
Working knowledge of the formal Navy curriculum development process (NAVEDTRA 130 series). Familiarity with the
NAVEDTRA 43309-32
(series) PQS documentation. Understanding of applicable software systems. Strong decision-making and organizational skills. Ability to present detailed information to a variety of audiences. An active Department of Defense (DoD) Security clearance preferred.
Travel:
No travel is currently planned for this position.
Tools and Technology:
Microsoft Teams sites. Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Additional government-owned websites.
Working Conditions/Environment:
Work will primarily be conducted at IPS and
NSWC PCD. IPS
is a drug-free employer. Proof of U.S. citizenship will be required prior to employment at IPS.
