PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Orients, trains, and provides support to nursing students, externs, residents, nursing staff, departmental support staff. Plans, implements and evaluates onboarding and orientation programs. Performs the duties and responsibilities of the Staff Registered Nurse. Provides oversight of preceptor selection process; may serve as preceptor. Uses adult learning principles to plan, design, implement, and evaluate educational opportunities and workshops for staff. Facilitates implementation of policies, procedures, and equipment. Maintains education and competency records for unit-based staff. Assist with unit-specific competency program; determines competency needs; participates in annual competency evaluation process. Participates in hospital-wide QI Program and assists in regulatory and compliance preparation. Develops, monitors, and reports unit-based QI measurement indicators.ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties as assigned by supervision. QualificationsREQUIRED
Bachelor of Science from an accredited school of nursing Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the clinical specialty. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS). Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.PREFERRED
Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.Work Hours:
7am-3:30pmWeekend Requirements:
