The Gemvision Training team plays a key role in supporting customers through hands-on training and education, ensuring they feel confident using our software in real-world applications. Through live instruction, virtual sessions, and ongoing learning resources, the team helps customers maximize their investment, strengthen their skills, and achieve long-term success. We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically capable Software Learning and Development Intern to support Instructors during CAD software Customer Training sessions. The Software Learning and Development Intern will play a key role in ensuring smooth class flow by providing technical assistance, preparing class materials, and aiding participants in understanding the software. This position requires excellent organizational skills, and a passion for helping others, especially customers, succeed in a learning/ training environment. As the Software Learning and Development Intern, you would be expected to attend certification training to set
  • up, engage, and assist customers and Training Developers.
Additional responsibilities would include an intern project: LMS Platform Modernization. Focus of this project is to expand user experience on Gemvision's LMS platforms by increasing searchability and training content flow, setting up learning paths for new users, and bringing older recorded content to a current version.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist instructors during in-person and virtual CAD training sessions. Prepare training materials prior to class events, including workstation setup, sample files, tutorials, and handouts. Monitor participant progress during sessions and provide feedback to instructors to enhance the learning experience. Collaborate with instructors to develop and refine training content to ensure alignment with course objectives. Create, record, audit, and monitor customer-facing Online Academy platforms to support customer satisfaction and retention. Partner with the Onboarding Specialist to support administrative tasks such as scheduling and post-session evaluations. Support LMS platform modernization initiatives. Conduct GV Manual Certification audits.
Basic Qualifications:
Basic understanding of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar) with hands-on experience in design or drafting workflows. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot software-related issues efficiently. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with virtual training platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and supporting users of varying skill levels. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Technical writing skills are a plus. Knowledge of additional design or engineering software is a bonus. This role requires candidates to have work authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
