As a Project Developer , you will spearhead business development efforts by building and fostering strong industry relationships, identifying active project opportunities nationwide and globally, and driving successful project acquisition efforts from concept through contract negotiation. This senior-level role is ideal for an experienced signage, themed environment, experiential, exhibit, or architectural fabrication professional who thrives on managing complex, large-scale custom projects. You'll work closely with Estimating, Project Management, and executive leadership teams to develop bid packages, budgets, schedules, and strategic client solutions while mentoring junior staff and contributing to DCL's continued growth and industry leadership.
What You'll Do:
- Build and foster strong client relationships while maintaining a positive customer experience throughout project engagement
- Identify and pursue active project acquisition and business development opportunities across the industry
- Make presentations and provide expert consultation services to clients and project stakeholders
- Lead bid proposal preparation, estimating efforts, budget development, and schedule planning
- Participate in contract negotiations and support project acquisition strategies
- Collaborate closely with Estimating, Engineering, Fabrication, and Project Management teams
- Liaise with Project Managers throughout the project delivery process to ensure successful execution
- Maintain awareness of active projects and industry trends nationwide and globally
- Support and mentor junior team members as needed
- Travel based on client and project needs
- Sustain technical knowledge by participating in industry events, reviewing professional publications, and maintaining awareness of evolving fabrication and construction processes

Your Qualifications:
- Experience and expertise: 5+ years of experience in signage, themed environment, innovative tech integrations, exhibit, experiential, or architectural fabrication industries
- Proven success in business management, project development, and/or project management
- Strong knowledge of construction, design, engineering, fabrication, and installation processes
- Experience in leading bid proposal preparation, estimating and budget development, and schedule planning
Presentation Skills:
Capable of making presentations and providing expert consultation services to customers
- Ability to establish and preserve positive client relationships throughout engagements
- Proficiency working in a PC environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal skills, & negotiation skills: Ability to participate in and support contract negotiations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work directly with executive staff and mentor junior team members
