Job Description
Introduction The Maryland Department of Labor, (MD Labor), Division of Unemployment Insurance is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of UI Professional III (Trainer). This recruitment will be used to fill current and future vacancies. The resulting eligible list will be maintained for one year after the closing date of the announcement.

Main Purpose of JobMAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB CREATE AND PROVIDE END-USER TRAINING TO DOL/UI STAFF ON USE OF THE BEACON SYSTEM IN THE AREAS OF BENEFITS, TAX/CONTRIBUTIONS, APPEALS, REEMPLOYMENT, INTEGRITY, FEDERAL REPORTING, AND OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE AREAS. POSITION DUTIES DESIGN, CREATE, REVISE, AND PROVIDE ONGOING TRAINING AND DEMONSTRATIONS OF THE BEACON SYSTEM AND OTHER UI SYSTEMS VIA VIRTUAL, FACE TO FACE, AND ASYNCHRONOUS TRAINING. DELIVER END USER TRAINING IN BEACON IN ALL AREAS OF BENEFITS, TAX/CONTRIBUTIONS, APPEALS, OR OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE AREAS. PARTICIPATE IN TEAM TEACHING AND TRAINING. PROVIDE SUPPORT TO ALL STAKEHOLDERS IN NAVIGATING THE SYSTEM. ASSIST WITH OTHER DIVISION SPECIFIC TRAINING AS ASSIGNED BY THE UI TRAINING MANAGER. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Six years of experience in a public/or private agency rendering and/or determining eligibility for a Human Service Program or other programs.Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in a public/or private agency rendering and/or determining eligibility for a Human Service Program or other programs for the required experience. 2. Candidates may substitute additional graduate level education at an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 credit hours on a year-for-year basis for the required experienceSELECTIVE QUALIFICATIONS

All candidates are subject to a background check against files maintained by the Division of Unemployment Insurance (MD Labor/DUI) to determine whether any monies are owed to MD Labor/DUI as a result of unemployment insurance overpayment/fraud.
