Job Description
Overview:
The Training & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, building and bringing to life a structured, scalable training program across the organization. This role will map existing procedures, partner with subject matter experts to document workflows, and transform that knowledge into clear, effective training materials and processes. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys turning complexity into clarity, building systems from the ground up, and ensuring training doesn't just exist on paper, but is actively used, measured, and continuously improved.Key Responsibilities:
Training Strategy & Program Development Design and implement a company-wide training and development framework aligned with business goals Build structured onboarding and ongoing training programs by department and role Create learning paths for new hires, cross-training, and internal growth Establish standards for training documentation, delivery and evaluation Process Mapping & Documentation Partner with department leaders and subject matter experts to map current workflows and procedures Document SOP's, job aids, and reference materials in clear, consistent formats Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or inconsistencies in current processes and recommend improvements Maintain a centralized, organized training and SOP repository Content Creation & Delivery Develop engaging training materials including guides, videos, presentations, checklists, and assessments Facilitate live and virtual training sessions as needed Support train-the-trainer initiatives to ensure knowledge is shared consistently Adapt content for different learning styles and skill levels Training Implementation & Adoption Roll our training programs and ensure adoption across teams Partners with managers to integrate training into daily workflows Track training completion, comprehension and effectiveness Gather feedback and continuously refine training materials Measurement & Continuous Improvement Define success metrics for training effectiveness Analyze training outcomes and identify areas for improvement Stay current on best practices in learning and development Support organizational change initiatives through trainingQualifications:
3+ years of experience in training, learning & development, operations, or process improvement Proven experience creating SOPs, training materials, and structured programs Strong ability to map processes and translate them into clear documentation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable working cross-functionally with all employees Experience with LMS platforms, SOP libraries or knowledge management systems Background in adult learning principles Experience supporting onboarding and scaling teamsSkills and Competencies:
