Job Description

This position will primarily be responsible for preparing, hosting, and delivering curriculum specific to safety considerations for new and tenured staff with the Division of Probation and Parole. This includes, but is not limited to, proficiency in defensive tactics and use of firearms. Must possess ability to work as a member of a small training team. This position requires regular overnight travel for multiple nights. Responsibilities - What you'll do Assists in the research, development, and delivery of training programs for employees and/or clients of one or more state agencies Assists in the research, development, and implementation of training materials; assists in the writing and development of training curriculums Assists in the production, development, evaluation, or acquisition of audio-visual aids and computer-based software for use in training programs Participates in the overall evaluation of training effectiveness, and recommends and/or implements revisions to specific training programs Assists agency leaders and work teams in determining present and/or future organizational and individual development needs Provides technical advice to agency personnel regarding the planning, scheduling, and delivery of training programs Prepares reports, as required, on the progress of assigned phases of training Initially, work is reviewed closely by an administrative supervisor; as more experience is gained, receives general supervision Performs other related work as assigned Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:
Five or more years of experience in the field of adult corrections, adult probation and parole, or civil or military police law enforcement, with 100 or more hours serving as primary instructor in employee training and development Or Five or more years of professional level experience. (Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for up to four years of the required experience, at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year - a minimum of one year of experience is required)

$51,227.28 per year
