QUALIFICATIONS
A four-year degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience/professional development instruction. Master's Degree preferred.REPORTS TO
Director of Professional DevelopmentJOB GOAL
To assist the director and the Academic Services Team in leading and supporting a culture of innovative and high-quality teaching and learning experiences for CCS staff to ultimately equip students with skills for success. Works closely with the CCS District staff to lead, model, and support the instructional mission of the Cumberland County Schools. Collaborates with various departments to plan, construct, facilitate, co-teach, and model effectively integrating technology using online, face-to-face, and WebEx professional development opportunities for CEU credit Supports and shares knowledge of district technology and curriculum initiatives, such as Google Apps for Education, etc, that support personalized learning strategies Identifies and plans professional learning opportunities that align with digital integration competencies for all instructional staff and delivers appropriate coaching, training, and resources to support the professional growth of individuals Researches and models the effective delivery of personalized learning, technology integration strategies, and effective instructional and coaching pedagogy across content areas Advises instructional staff on the use of various high-impact digital tools to aid content comprehension, differentiation, enrichment, and remediation Supports collaboration and communication among schools and district staff through the modeling and support of electronic interaction venues, e.g., Webex, website, and social media (Twitter chats, Blogging, etc.) Creates web-based professional development materials, modules, and courses and deploys them within various online course management systems Ensures that Online Professional Development (OPD) courses and materials comply with NC Standards for Professional Development Trains online professional development instructors to utilize online platforms and instruct OPD courses Designs and Instructs OPD courses within various platforms as needed Maintains and updates the online professional development website and Canvas Course Coordinates online registration for OPD sessions, manages registration databases, and issues CEU credits following sessions through NCEES Creates, coordinates, and delivers special professional development projects as needed Performs other duties as assigned by theDirector of Professional Learning Physical Requirements:
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of fingering, grasping, sitting, light lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.Special Requirements:
