Job Description We are seeking a researcher with strong data science and coding skills to support a cybersecurity training and workforce development project focused on critical infrastructure in the NJ/NY region. The researcher will help organize, analyze, and visualize trainee application data, survey responses, training participation records, and assessment results. The researcher will also support the development of simple data workflows, dashboards, and documentation to help the project team track recruitment, training progress, participant outcomes, and program impact.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Mathematics or a closely related field Demonstrated experience in data science and cybersecurity Proficiency in at least one programming/analysis tool (e.g., Python, R, Excel, Google Sheets/Forms, or similar platforms), preferably all Department Geomechanics Compensation Range In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act, the semi-monthly base range for this position is $1,450.14 - $1,529.28. This range represents the University's good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, skills, internal equity, market data, and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget, qualifications, and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation, such as incentives, stipends, or other applicable pay components.
