As one of the largest home health agencies in the region, we are committed to enabling patients to live independently at home through comprehensive, high-quality care. Overview We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Staff Development Specialist Homecare to lead our training and professional development initiatives. This vital role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs that enhance clinical skills, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and promote excellence in patient care. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in nursing education within home health settings and demonstrate a passion for fostering continuous learning among healthcare professionals. Duties Develop comprehensive training curricula tailored to the needs of home care clinicians, including new employee orientation and ongoing professional development. Conduct in-service training sessions on critical topics such as patient care protocols, medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, and medical terminology. Evaluate staff competency through assessments, observations, and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure training aligns with regulatory standards and organizational goals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, including physiology, anatomy, and acute care procedures relevant to home health care. Facilitate adult education techniques that promote effective learning and skill retention among diverse healthcare teams. Ensure all training activities comply with legal requirements and organizational policies related to patient privacy and medical records management. Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) license with significant experience in home health or related healthcare settings. Proven expertise in critical care, nursing home environments, hospital or teaching hospital experience, with a focus on acute care and ICU settings. Strong background in pediatrics, adult education, and patient-centered care practices. Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining confidentiality in medical records. Demonstrated ability to develop educational programs that improve clinical competencies and staff performance. Excellent communication skills coupled with leadership qualities necessary for effective training delivery and team engagement. Pay:
$70,995.00 - $97,618.00 per year
