Job Overview The Specialist, Beauty Education & Training inspires teams and elevates the customer experience by driving Macy's Beauty Education Program and executing Selling and Service Standards at the highest level. This leader supports stores and colleagues by fostering a deep understanding of the products we carry and how to service the customer. As a skilled communicator with a passion for the beauty industry, the Specialist possesses a proven background in training, selling, and relationship-building. They excel in delivering impactful presentations, facilitating high-energy training sessions, and motivating teams to achieve their goals while advocating for local training and education needs. What You Will Do Serve as the primary trainer for a designated market area, focusing on enhancing the customer experience through Macy's Beauty Education Program Deliver high-impact training (both in-person and digital) on beauty pillars, service standards, consultation, and artistry Develop and lead interactive workshops to train and motivate store teams, collaborating with Store Leaders for clear communication on progress and goals Provide one-on-one coaching and group training to build high-performing, well-trained teams Train colleagues in selling and service excellence to align with corporate strategies Conduct store visits to assess the impact of training, reinforce skills, and monitor retention for continued improvement Support the Company's Loyalty Program through training, sharing best practices, and monitoring KPIs to drive success Assist the Head of Macy's Beauty Education in executing key training initiatives, such as Seasonal Schools, new product launches, and strategic courses, providing logistical and facilitation support for flawless execution Enhance the effectiveness of the Beauty Education eLearning platform by identifying actionable insights, addressing opportunities for improvement, and driving engagement to support learning outcomes Celebrate colleague achievements through corporate recognition and certification programs Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external vendor partners to ensure alignment with Macy's Education strategies and guidelines Stay ahead of industry trends as a passionate Beauty leader, sharing insights with the team to enhance training initiatives Regularly monitor the competitive landscape to inform improvements in training strategy Ensure compliance with Macy's Education standards, rigorously tracking and reporting performance outcomes Fully understand and be aware of all Beauty Policies and Procedures and Vendor Guidelines Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.
Skills You Will Need Training and Development Expertise :
Ability to design and deliver high-impact training programs, both in-person and digitally, to elevate team performance and customer experience in line with Macy's Beauty Education Program.Communication Skills :
Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively deliver presentations, conduct training sessions, and provide clear guidance to store teams and leadership.Leadership and Coaching :
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coach individuals and teams, fostering a high-performance culture through ongoing development and motivation.Selling and Service Excellence :
Deep understanding of sales and service standards, with the ability to train colleagues in these areas to drive alignment with corporate strategies.Analytical and Insight-Driven :
Ability to assess training effectiveness, monitor performance outcomes, and use insights to inform improvements in training strategies and initiatives.Relationship Building :
Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, store leaders, and external vendor partners, ensuring alignment with Macy's Beauty Education strategies.Industry Knowledge :
In-depth understanding of the beauty industry and trends, with a passion for staying ahead of developments to enhance training and educational offerings.Project Management :
Ability to support and execute key training initiatives, including Seasonal Schools, product launches, and strategic courses, ensuring flawless logistics and facilitation. eLearning Expertise :
Proficiency in navigating eLearning platforms, driving engagement, and addressing opportunities to enhance learning outcomes.Performance Monitoring and KPIs :
Ability to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to training impact, customer service, and sales to drive continuous improvement and success.
