Job Description

As a Learning & Development Technical Trainer at Sage , you will directly shape the employee experience—beginning on day one and throughout their journey with us. You will design, deliver, and continuously improve high‑impact training programs that equip employees to work safely, confidently, and effectively in fast‑paced operational environments. Key Responsibilities Training Delivery & Program Ownership Deliver engaging orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training programs using adult learning principles. Develop and execute training and onboarding plans that align with operational priorities, staffing requirements, and performance goals. Coordinate, coach, and support peer SME trainers, instructors, and mentors to ensure consistent, high‑quality training delivery. Lead, train, and upskill Mentors and SMEs to prepare them for advancement into roles such as Lead or Technical Trainer. Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Audit training delivery to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and organizational standards. Maintain accurate training records, rosters, and completion data in the Paycom LMS and related platforms. Analyze training data, dashboards, and performance metrics to identify training gaps, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Gather feedback from learners, mentors, and operational leaders to enhance content, delivery methods, and learner engagement. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Operations, HR, and Learning & Development stakeholders to ensure training aligns with business needs and workforce readiness. Work with subject matter experts to quickly validate new workflows, processes, and tools. Support cross‑training initiatives and skill‑matrix development to ensure adequate coverage for critical roles and peak demand periods. High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years delivering training, coaching, or instructional support in an operational, corporate, or educational environment. Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills for group and one‑on‑one learning. Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and learning systems or databases. Proven organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities. Ability to work flexible schedules based on business needs. Ability to work collaboratively and adapt quickly in a team environment. Preferred Experience coordinating or mentoring peer trainers, instructors, or ambassador programs. Familiarity with LMS platforms, training compliance tracking, and audit processes. Comfort interpreting training data, dashboards, and performance reports. Strong working knowledge of the ITAD industry. Advanced technical skills in e‑learning, digital training tools, or mobile learning. Public speaking experience and confidence presenting to diverse audiences. Understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design fundamentals, or ADDIE methodology. Experience supporting onboarding, safety, compliance, or operational process training. A coaching mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback. Ability to adapt training for diverse learners, learning styles, and skill levels. Familiarity with performance improvement models such as the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model.
