Provides strategic recommendations and steers development of new capability, improvements to current capability, and divestment of old capability towards maintaining an efficient branch portfolio that matches relevant threat. Senior Integrated Fires Operational Architect Supporting Fires capability development, to include software and hardware for sensors, C2, effectors, and prime movers. Recommends, and provides input on behalf of the FCD as required, for priorities in
IBCS SW/HW
updates across US and FMS baselines to address issues, add new features, and ensure compatibility with evolving requirements. Supports capability development road mapping, prioritization and planning events, and Senior Leader in/out briefs across PAE Fires, ensuring seamless communication and operational alignment of available capability. Engages with operational and technical leaders in the processes for Fires capabilities development, concept development, Use Case development, CONOP development and revision, requirements development and clarification, DOTMLPF-P development, Training/POI/TADSS development, fielding/issuing activities, system architecture design, associated documentation [performance, capabilities and limitation, and training]. Supports training, excursions, demonstrations, assessments, and tests relevant to the Fires capabilities through planning, coordination, and attendance. These currently include but aren't limited to items within the PAE Fires portfolio, NGC2, AXS, IAMD Planners Course development, and HSI events.
Requirements Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
Experience:
20 Years of Army and Joint Air and Missile Defense experience across multiple systems and roles At least 5 years of Integrated Air and Missile Defense, preferably with IBCS and its adapted sensors/weapons Development and maturation of new Fires C2 Systems, Sensors, Launchers, and effectors [Non-Kinetic or Kinetic] Well versed in both Army Combat Development and Acquisition processes
Skills:
Ability to navigate Agile Software Development Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) Excellent communication and stakeholder management, ability to explain highly technical issues in layperson terms
Qualifications:
