The successful candidate in this role will become an expert on teaching any/all of the topics associated with ONE Gas Field Operations as well as having a specialized/focused role on teaching Transmissions-related large diameter piping tapping operations. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. ONE Gas does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role. What You Will Do Perform enterprise-wide training activities related to classroom, hands on, simulation, performance evaluations, and on the job training events. Coordinate, deliver, and facilitate training programs in specified field operations disciplines. Provide training events that build student knowledge and skill with a primary focus on natural gas, operations, and maintenance activities to support the Operational Qualification (OQ) performance evaluation process. Independently observe and complete performance evaluations to accurately collect, analyze, and report metrics to enhance the student's level of skill proficiency and success of training programs. Provide training events that build student knowledge and skill with a primary focus on natural gas, operations, and maintenance activities. Integrate classroom, hands on, simulation, and on the job training events that maximize student learning. Implement creative learning initiatives that provide practical field experience. Identify, evaluate, and react to learning opportunities while developing employees towards mastery level of their position. Recertify employees in plastic fusion, operations, and maintenance where needed. Provide mentorship and support services as requested to field operations. Collaborate with operations management to identify training needs and deliver training programs to ensure regulatory compliance and safety protocols. Collaborate with Instructional Designer on curriculum development and improvements to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and ONE Gas standards as needed. Participate with ONE Gas standard reviews and identify needs within organizational groups as needed. Promote a safe work environment by actively participating in all aspects of employee safety programs and support the interdependent safety culture by ensuring the safety of co-workers. Contribute and participate in governance meetings. Use information gathered from feedback sessions, online surveys, and previous training sessions to recommend updates to future training materials. Manage student's engagement during training sessions along with communicating student's engagement to leadership. Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned. Roles for Individual Contributor forthcoming What You Will Need Preferred Associate's Degree Business or related field. Previous field operations experience required with experience in both Large Diameter Tapping Operations and Technical Training preferred. Knowledge of equipment, props, and simulations utilized to complete employee training and recertification. Working knowledge of pipeline/field and/or customer service/field activities. Knowledge related to company training programs and processes. Experience in use and function of equipment/tools used in construction, maintenance, and/or service of distribution and transmission pipelines. Experience with the application of basic mathematical formulas.Experience related to:
Computer applications including spreadsheet and word processing software Company policies/procedures and governmental regulations pertaining to field activitiesField and fire safety training Plastic fusion Interpersonal/communication skills Training methods Ability to read and interpret reports, governmental regulations, training materials, safety manuals, field procedural manuals, equipment specifications, policies, procedures, and correspondence. Ability to develop information and make presentations. Read and write fluently in English. Minimum Applicable driver's license. Required to operate a company vehicle. Preferred Commercial Driver's License (CDL)Preferred The following certifications are preferred: T.D. Williamson (TDW) Line Master Certification Instructor Excellence Program Georg Fisher Plastic Fusion Certification McElroy Plastic Fusion Certification Operation Qualification (OQ) in respective training areas Requires travel to multiple work site locations in all service areas. Mobility to travel in and around office surroundings and job and training sites out of doors. Able to operate tools and equipment required. Lift and move objects weighing 30 to 60 lbs. occasionally. Communicate and exchange information verbally and conduct oral presentations. Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
